Kasicare Privacy Policy

For KasiCare Users and Clients (All mental health professionals, clinic staff, and end users):

KasiCare, operated by Kasicare Technologies Private Limited, is a therapy engagement platform for therapists to connect with their clients better and streamline their work. This privacy policy outlines the collection, storage, utilization, and distribution of personal data provided by users while using our platform.

Definitions

User

“User”, “you”, “your” or other similar terminology are all in reference to you, as the mental health professional, counsellor, and/or therapist who uses the application user of the website, and as a recipient of our services.

Client

“Client” or other similar terminology are all in reference to the end user, that is, the clients of all mental health professionals, counsellors, and/or therapists.

Strict Prohibition of Data Sale

KasiCare is committed to user and client privacy. We guarantee that under no circumstances will your personal data be sold, traded, or transferred to third-party entities for promotional or marketing purposes. All data entrusted to us is solely utilized to improve our platform and services in alignment with this Privacy Policy. The data will only be shared if mandated by the courts of India, and as per Indian laws.

Protecting Therapeutic Records

Acknowledging the sensitivity of mental health and therapy sessions, notes and records, KasiCare ensures the utmost care, discretion, and confidentiality in managing any mental health data or therapeutic records entered into our platform. We reinforce this commitment by securing all therapeutic records and maintaining stringent access controls. It is however clarified notwithstanding anything else contained in this policy, KasiCare shall not be privy to the proceedings of the sessions itself and the same shall be confidential as per applicable law.

Data Storage and Categories

At KasiCare, we store data to help you use our services better. We may use your and your client’s Personal Information to:

• Contact in case of query resolution
• Assist in using the app if required
• Provide with further information, products and services
• Better understand users’ needs and interests (such research will only use your information in an anonymous way and cannot be linked back to you or your clients)
• Detect and protect us against error, fraud, and other criminal activity.
• Improve our website, mobile application(s) in order to better serve you and your clients.
• Allow us to better service you and your clients in responding to customer service requests.
• Ensure seamless delivery of our services and features

We emphasize that while we store certain data for functionality, our systems are designed to prevent unauthorized access to confidential information shared by the users. The stored data involves:

Customer Account Data: Information provided during KasiCare registration or login process encompassing personal demographic details and professional credentials
Client Data: All records or data inputted concerning your clients outside of the therapy session.

All data that you and your client provide will be confidential. We employ administrative and technical measures designed to safeguard and protect information under our control from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure. When we collect, maintain, access, use, or disclose Personal Information, we will do so using systems and processes consistent with industry standards in information privacy and security. KasiCare uses SSL/TLS to protect data in transit which is built on Google Cloud Platform and AWS platform, and is compliant with GDPR to ensure data security.

Processing Client Data

Client confidentiality is paramount. We do not share any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) unless mandated by law or explicitly permitted by you. You have the right to access, modify, or request the erasure of your data. However, note that erasing certain data may impact the usability of some features. Upon discontinuation of our services, your data will be deleted. You can contact us at support@kasi.care in case of requests for account deletion and/or changes to personal information.

Age Restrictions and Parental Consent

KasiCare caters primarily to mental health practitioners working with adult clients aged 18 and above. Verifiable parental consent is mandatory if you intend to engage with clients younger than 18. Additionally, all interactions with minors must adhere to applicable laws and ethical guidelines.

External Links and Third-Party Services

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or services not governed or controlled by KasiCare. We strongly recommend reviewing the privacy policies and terms of any third-party sites or services accessed through our platform. KasiCare disclaims each & every responsibility for any of the content, actions, and privacy practices of these external entities.

Google API Integration

KasiCare’s appointment scheduling feature integrates with Google Calendar and Google Sign-In:

Purpose: This integration, essential for appointment scheduling on KasiCare, ensures real-time updates and efficient appointment management through your and your client’s Google Calendar. Google Sign-In facilitates easy and secure access to the KasiCare platform. Sign-in data includes your primary email, name and profile picture, which is kept for identity verification purposes only. Out of this only your public information such as Name and Profile picture will be displayed to incoming clients securely. None of the information including your email and name, will be shared to any third party without your explicit consent to do so, following all the PII rules applicable through DPDP, GDPR, or any other applicable law of the land.  
Data Sharing: We do not obtain the data already stored on your and your client’s Google Account. Your and your client’s scheduled sessions and calendar details for KasiCare are kept confidential and not shared with any other KasiCare account or third-party entities.
Google Calendar API Use: KasiCare uses the Google Calendar API to check free/busy status and to add or delete appointments booked through the KasiCare platform. This functionality is essential for managing appointments and ensuring that there are no scheduling conflicts. We do not store any of your calendar data on our servers, or share them with anybody. We only use free/busy status internally to show relevant slots for booking appointments, and create & delete events/meets created by KasiCare platform.

Use of Google User Data

KasiCare’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request only the minimum necessary permissions to implement the application’s features, ensuring that users can understand why the data is needed. No unauthorized use, aggregation, or analysis of Google user data for deceptive purposes will be conducted. Users will be promptly notified of any changes in data usage and required to consent to updated policies if applicable.

Jurisdiction & Governing Law

This Privacy Policy, and any related disputes, are governed by India’s laws, without effect from choice or conflict of law provisions. Legal suits or actions related to this Policy or KasiCare’s services shall be exclusively filed in New Delhi, India’s courts.

Changes to this Policy

Periodic updates may be introduced. Significant changes will be notified through emails to the users.
